Caboth VZ33 Mauser .280 Rem Custom
Description:
Full custom in .280 Remington based on the Brno VZ33 Mauser action which is the police equivalent of the G 33/40 action with receiver lightning cuts. Douglas Premium 24" sightless light sporter contour barrel with barrel band sling stud. VZ33 receiver with custom bolt handle with pear shaped knob. Custom ergonomic left sided safety. Talley bases. Blackburn bottom metal. Timney fully adjustable trigger. Stocked in a fairly straight grained piece of English Walnut with dark mineral streaking. Pancake shadow line cheekpiece, two screw inletted rear sling stud, skeleton grip cap, and English style ebony forend tip with widow's peak which matches the grip cap. Floorplate and trigger guard engraving by FEGA member James White of Wasilla, Alaska. ACGG and FEGA member Jesse Kaufman, Sturgis, S.D. did the 26 LPI point pattern checkering with mullered border which wraps the forend. LOP is 14" to a Decelerator pad. Weighs in at 7lb 9oz
This extremely nice piece remains new from the maker and is test fired only. Mr. Caboth was an instructor at the Colorado School of Trades and worked with Dakota and Waffen Hein on stock design. His metal and stock work is impecable and cannot be bested by anyone in the country.
