Look for the gold '55 Chevy road sign! ~Trades and offers are always considered~ Rare Large Chief's Grade North African/Mediterranean Flintlock Blunderbuss with Ebony Stock and Bone & Silver Inlays, 4 Ga. with 2 5/8" flared muzzle, mfg. ca. 1800. This impressive hand cannon would have been made for a notable public figure and remains in fantastic original condition. The engraved iron barrel measures 17 3/8" long and features a massive flared muzzle with numerous solid Silver inlays incorporated into the scrollwork. The lock remains in it's original flintlock form and is likewise inlaid with Silver right down to the frizzen. Overall the metal has a smooth silver/gray patina with some very fine pinprick pitting scattered throughout. The Ebony stock has a beautifully worn finish and is decorated with no less than 35 bone inlays surrounded by Silver pins. Miraculously aside from a typical small check ahead of the rear lock screw the wood has survived with no cracks, chips, or repairs. The brass buttplate, triggerguard, and ramrod entry pipe are clad with a thick Silver plate which has begun to turn black with age. Original Ebony ramrod. The action is remarkably strong and crisp and functions flawlessly. The frizzen snaps shut and spring forward properly. This gun really makes a statement and must be held to be appreciated! Large Chief's Grade North African/Mediterranean 4 Gauge Flintlock Blunderbuss Bone & Silver Inlay Ebony Stock

Look for the gold '55 Chevy road sign! ~Trades and offers are always considered~ Rare Large Chief's Grade North African/Mediterranean Flintlock Blunderbuss with Ebony Stock and Bone & Silver Inlays, 4 Ga. with 2 5/8" flared muzzle, mfg. ca. 1800. This impressive hand cannon would have been made for a notable public figure and remains in fantastic original condition. The engraved iron barrel measures 17 3/8" long and features a massive flared muzzle with numerous solid Silver inlays incorporated into the scrollwork. The lock remains in it's original flintlock form and is likewise inlaid with Silver right down to the frizzen. Overall the metal has a smooth silver/gray patina with some very fine pinprick pitting scattered throughout. The Ebony stock has a beautifully worn finish and is decorated with no less than 35 bone inlays surrounded by Silver pins. Miraculously aside from a typical small check ahead of the rear lock screw the wood has survived with no cracks, chips, or repairs. The brass buttplate, triggerguard, and ramrod entry pipe are clad with a thick Silver plate which has begun to turn black with age. Original Ebony ramrod. The action is remarkably strong and crisp and functions flawlessly. The frizzen snaps shut and spring forward properly. This gun really makes a statement and must be held to be appreciated!
