Description:
I'm selling my collection. Here is an Antique Argentine Mauser Rare Carbine Model 1891. FFL is not required. It’s chambered for the accurate 7.65x53mm caliber. Only 30,000 of these Carbine were manufactured pre-1899 by the prestigious Arsenal Imperial Ludwig Loewe of Berlin before Dec 31.1898, with all the military approval markings. Serial numbers are matching bolt & receiver "A5038" it was manufactured in 1895. Scarcely found in good working condition. 18.5" barrel with a good bore moderate wear with sharp rifling. The metal with some pitting with some loss of the original blue, the wood was lightly sanded with storage stacking dents on the wood. Serial numbers are not always matching. No import marks. The original factory blue finish rates 60%. The Argentinian crown was not erased as it's always the case for legal exporting reason. The action is smooth & firmly crisp. All details are visible on the pictures if not mentioned in the description. Those are fun to shoot and very accurate with its 18.5" short barrel. Tho M1891 Carbines were still in service in the Argentinian Police in the 1960's. Cartridges showed on one the picture are not for sale.
