I did fire a 38-40 cartridge through this and hit the paper plate at 50'. It ejected the cartridge correctly
Shoots fine. I believe this was made for 44 shotgun cartridge. Maybe a garden gun. I did shoot a 44 shot shell. Did fine with it as well. Ships direct as long as your drinking age. Or can register for military
Check out the photos. It has some dings and scratches as would be expected for a 130 year old gun.

Thorobred racing plates. I'm not gonna tell the story I heard about these.
