"American stocked musket pattern 1756 Brown Bess (AL7500)
Description:
".75 caliber 46"" smoothbore American stocked flintlock musket patterned after 1756 Brown Bess. Metal is a dark heavy brown patina with scattered surface oxidation visible. Lock plate is marked ""Haskins/1758, markings forward of the hammer have been removed as this was common practice on captured firearms. Stock shows dings, scratches and mars as would be expected from a Rev War era long arm. A sliver of wood loss is noted left side of the buttplate. A great example of a colonial long arm used in the American Revolution.
