"French Model 1766 Revolutionary War Era reconverted flintlock musket .69 caliber (AL6989)
Description:
"NSN, circa 1770's, .69 caliber, 44"" round smoothbore barrel. Barrel and other iron parts are a dark patina with scattered oxidation. Lock plate is unmarked, hammer looks to be a later Springfield 1795 circa 1814. Musket has been reconverted from percussion to its original flintlock configuration. Comb on has been tapered down, Stock has ""WILLARD/78'"" carved into the right side. Front barrel band spring has been removed, band remains. Action functions correctly, main spring is loose. Very unique Revolutionary War gun!
