"NSN, made in 1840, .54 caliber, 36†round rifled barrel. Barrel has 95% original Tobacco†brown finish with light surface marks visible, barrel is proofed marked on the left side. Bore is very good with strong rifling visible. Lock plate is marked N. STARR & SON†with Starr sunburst trademark/U.S. Rear of hammer is stamped MIDDTn/CONN/1840â€, Stock is fine with light surface nicks, and pressure dings noted. Action holds at half and full cock. One of the best examples with have seen in a long time.
