"Rare U.S. Surcharged 2nd Model Brown Bess .79 caliber (AL8099)

Description:
"NSN, circa 1770s, .79 caliber, 41.5"" round barrel. Barrel and iron furniture are a smooth brown patina Barrel is marked with""US"", lock plate is marked with ""CROWN/GR, with ""TOWER"" behind the cock. Stock shows nicks, dings and scratches, the initials ""DH"" are carved into the right side. The Americans would capture these muskets and pushed into service. George Neuman, author of many Revolutionary War Books at one point examined this musket and deemed it authentic as a original Rev. War Musket!
