"U.S. American stock flintlock Musket .78 caliber (AL8104)
Description: "NSN, circa 1820's, .78 caliber, 42"" round barrel. Surcharged Lock plate is a Model 1754 with S.E. (St Etienne) over C. Gaubin Revolutionary War era. The Cock is British with ""US"" at the rear. Metal is a grey mottled patina. American Walnut stock is in overall good condition. The barrel springs are on the left side instead on the right. This stock is of model 1816 origin, this work is seen by Henry Osborne in the 1820's and 1830's. This musket is more than likely from him.
