Description:
"NSN, made in 1815, .69 caliber, 42"" round barrel. Early Style 1812-1815 integral forged flash pan and with pointed finials on the trigger guard. Barrel springs are located behind the bands. Barrel and iron parts are a smooth dark patina with pin-prick oxidation visible. Lock plate is marked ""VIRGINIA/Manufactory"" forward of cock and ""Richmond/1815"" rear of cock. Stock has nicks, dings and scratches, minor slivers are wood loss is noted along the edges bilaterally. Overall a great looking early Virginia musket!
