Revolutionary War American-Made Fusil Flintlock Rifle by John Annely
Description: This is a very nice example of a Revolutionary War American-made Fusil flintlock rifle made by John Annely. This gun comes from the Robert Nittoco collection and is featured in two publications - Page 79 of "Early American Flintlocks" by Daniel D. Hartzler and Pages 261-262 of "American Military Shoulder Arms Vol. 2". Overall, the gun is in very nice condition for its age. There is no major damage or wear to the metal, just honest spotty "attic patina" throughout. The wood furniture is excellent for its age overall. However, there is a repaired crack just behind the tang and around the lock. There is a small area of wear on the left side of the stock that appears to be from thumb resting over the years. Excellent brass parts. The bore is in decent shape but shows minor surface oxidation throughout. The ram rod is intact, but the flint stone is missing. Fully functional. No FFL required.
