"H.W. Mortimer Large Bore Musket converted to Percussion(AL4087) DTX

Description:
"NSN, circa 1785-1790, 1"" diameter bore, 30 "" round barrel. Gun is Engraved H.W. Mortimer on both the lock and barrel. In our opinion the Mortimer markings have been engraved later and not by Mortimer. The barrel, we think was longer. This was probably a type of “wall" gun or naval close action gun. Barrel has a copper-brown finish. Stock is very good. The barrel is 30" long and the gun is 46" overall length. Action works perfectly. (DALLAS LOCATION)
