Very nice Mid Century .45 cal. percussion in Curley Maple Half Stock. Excellent condition for age and is well marked. Gun is 51.5inches overall. 36.1/8th inches barrel length, stock 28.5 in (all app.weight is 11.11 lb.) Would appreciate any info you might be able to glean from the pics that I may have missed.
Source: "Notes on Southern Long Rifles" Vol.4 pg.53. This coincides with the information I have from the previous owner Dr. M.M. Mulendore when I bought the gun in 1985. He had owned this for app.63 years and took it in trade for an operation for a "Winston Carroll" of the White Oak Community. Mr. Nobles book puts a "WB Carroll" in Lawrence County, which is located in this general area. Will consider all offers.
