Antique Percussion Long Rifle
Description: Antique small-bore percussion long rifle with a 36" .25 caliber, 7-groove octagon barrel, walnut stocks and brass furniture. The lockplate is unmarked. The condition is good overall. The stocks have minor dings/nicks. There are no visible cracks or breaks. The stocks may have been lightly sanded and refinished during period of use. The barrel has aquired a brown patina. The bore has visible lands and grooves with little if any pitting or rust. The lock shows signs of old pitting. The rifle functions when using the set trigger, otherwise the hammer will not hold. This may just need adjustment or it is an indication of internal wear. All brass hardware is in good shape. The front and rear sights appear to be replacements. Manufactured circa 1850-1870. Family Owned & Operated Cisco’s Gallery deals in the rare, exceptional, and one-of-a-kind pieces that define the history of America and the Old West. Our pieces range from American Indian to Cowboy Western and include original items of everyday life, commerce, art, and warfare that tamed America’s frontier.
