British 1853 Enfield Two Band Musket

With about .67 cal., and a 32 1/2” barrel with a moderately oxidized smooth bore. The iron surfaces are an overall plum brown and pewter base metal patina, the barrel showing light pinprick pitting over most of it surfaces, some along the top surfaces of the bands. There is a simple barleycorn-like front sight which acts as a bayonet lug as well and a very simple thin notched fixed rear sight. The lock is unmarked. There is a brass nosecap, triggerguard and buttplate with brass lockplate washers, they are a goldenrod patina. The dark walnut colored hardwood stock rates perhaps very fine showing an old refinish many years ago, with some minor handling marks, light drying cracks and perhaps a few chips here or there. The lock functions well mechanically and a ram/rod/cleaning rod is present.
