Description:
   SOLD  Another interesting gun is this Enfield Tower 1860 dated Horse Carbine, with a 21" smooth bore barrel of about .55 cal, and the brass raam -rod head was recenlty replaced as it has a bigger diameter than the bore. Action works well, and the lock marker 1860  Tower,  India made and distributed by the East India Company for Police or Constabulary useage .Has a left side mounted saddle ring and bar. Hardwood stock is good with typical field dings, and the barrel is mpunted to the stock by two wedges. Brass furniture, and the top of the barrel as crossed scepters but not Birmongham proofs and the number 518 crossed out. Colorful 19th centure horse carbine.When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith  before  shooting.
