French 1822 T-Bis Musket (AL3494)

Description:

French 1822 T-Bis Musket. This was the last French flintlock service gun, in 1841, that they started to convert to the new percussion system. This is an example of this conversion. All matched including the ram rod. Side plate marked St. Etienne. Stock has holy water plug and a brass strip on it. There is a small crack at the wrist. Stock is stable. Metal in the original, white is nice. Has rifled bore. Nice example of a not to easy to find French weapon.
