PHILADELPHIA HALFSTOCK SILVER-MOUNTED PERCUSSION SPORTING RIFLE BY TRYON

33-3/4 inch octagon barrel chambered in about a .34 caliber good bore that shows some light pitting and strong rifling. Barrel is a thinning plum/brown color and is marked "TRYON". Sights include a silver blade front and buckhorn rear. A hickory ramrod is present. Breech plug shows a pair of German silver bands. The lockplate is about the same color as the barrel and is engraved with a small game scene with a boarder and has a Henry Parker makers mark. Double set triggers. Barrel is attached with duel keys. German silver furnishings include oval wedge escutcheons and nosecap as well as triggerguard and patchbox with engraving. A nice eagle on the cheekpiece.
