VERY FINE CASED PERCUSSION 2-BARREL SET BY MORGAN JAMES UTICA NEW YORK

Consists of a double barrel 10-gauge and a cape rifle combo. Nice sights. The overall gun has been done very well with nice engraving on the side plates with a deer on one side and scroll work on the other. Both side plates retain about 75% darkening case color. Back action locks function nicely. The 30 inch Damascus barrels retain about 90% turning a plum/brown. Wood is in fine condition with straight grip nicely checkered stock. Trigger guard is nicely engraved as well. The cape rifle combo barrel measures 28-1/2 inches and is marked with "M. James" and underneath that "Utica N Y". Swamp style rig. Nice elaborate sights. This set is nicely cased in a well used wooden case having full dividers on the inside. There is a James Dixon & Sons powder flask and various tools and cleaning rod included. A very nice percussion rifle set. High quality and well done.
