NSN, made in 1864, converted circa 1869, .58CF, 36 5/8"" round rifled barrel. Musket was converted in Trenton, NJ and used by the Fenian Brotherhood who was an Irish-American secret society who wanted to invade Canada in 1870. Metal and iron parts are a dark patina with scattered mottled surface oxidation visible. Stock has been lightly cleaned at some point with a small crack visible forward of breech. Bore is good with frosting noted in the grooves. A ""V"" cut splice under mid band. This is a clear indication of the Fenian Brotherhood.
