"French Flintlock Hunting Carbine with Saddle Bar and Sling Swivels (AL5083) DTX

Description:
"French flintlock hunting carbine with saddle bar and sling swivels. Caliber is approximately .55 caliber with excellent bore and deep rifling. This is an elegant, beautifully made carbine preserved in near new condition. Barrel length is 24½" and 39½" overall. There is no makers name and was probably requested as such by the owner. Stock is carved in relief with floral motif with no chips or cracks. The edges are sharp and expertly carved. This fine carbine was finished “in the white"  Barrel is octagon to round. The rear sight is a work of art with flared open sight and a folding flip sight in front of the flare, all made of the barrel band. Metal parts, lock, frizzen, butt plate, trigger guard, lock are beautifully engraved. The patch box contains a powder measure. (DALLAS LOCATION)
