.69 caliber 44"" long smoothbore Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 1797 flintlock musket by Baker. One of only ten to known to exist. Metal is a dark patina with surface oxidation noted, barrel is marked with ""CP"" and ""P"" with Liberty cap proof mark. Stock is good with some dings and mars present, also the initials ""RB"" are carved into the left side of the butt-stock. Lock is marked Baker/CP, action functions correctly. This contract musket was made famous as being used during the Battle of Lake Erie! A scarce Martial long arm.
