Butt plate is dated ""1800"", first known dates to be seen were ""1799"". Lock is Eagle/US with ""Springfield"" curved behind the hammer. Action holds at half and full cock. Stock is very good plus condition with initials and faint cartouche visible by side plate. Great early American shoulder arm!
