Description:
Gun retains a pleasing patina overall with some light surface rust. The lock is marked WARRANTED. The hammer will hold at cock, however the trigger will only release it if you pull it back a bit farther. Brass trigger. 35 inch octagon barrel. Wood has some dings and handling marks, with what appears to be some old repairs above the lock. There appears to be an old crack opposite the lock from the single lock screw being over tightened. The front ramrod ferrule appears to have been resoldered at some point. Brass mounted with a pewter nose cap and some German Silver parts. 50 1/2 inches long overall. Missing the rear barrel key. The barrel rib on the bottom has come unsoldered at the front. Made in the 1850's
