Description:
Belgian flintlock rifle cut down and fabricated into a "blanket gun" or short barreled rifle designed for concealment. It is unknown if the gun was made from period old parts, or reproduction flintlock parts. The "Belgium" stamp on the barrel appears more modern. 12" round rifled barrel, bore size unknown. Hand hewn stock fitted with brass tacks and a rawhide barrel band.
This appears to be a parts gun fabricated into a period-style decorative wallhanger. The flintlock mechanism is functional but it is unknown if any or all parts are original.
