Very Rare Dreyse German Sporting Needle Fire Jaeger Full Stock Rifle .60 Engraved
Description:
Super cool gun. Beautifully engraved. Top of the barrel DREYSE SOMMERDA in silver on it. Marked on the right side of the receiver Cal.d.Zdsp. O. 60-5/24 Pulv. Single shot. Approximately .60 caliber. Heavily rifled. FIne mechanical function. All markings are clear. All numbers are matching. Full stock with light dings and handling marks, good checkering. Engraved patchbox. Buttplate is also engraved as is the trigger guard. 27 1/2 inch octagon barrel. Double set triggers work well. The needle appears to be full length. The barrel has some original browned finish on it along with some old surface rust. Some very minor pitting in the engraving on the receiver. All in all a really great gun in the scarce needle fire configuration. Made circa 1860. Serial number is 2798
