Early-1800s OTTOMAN Antique WIRE INLAID Flintlock Dag BLUNDERBUSS ORNATE
SHORT BARRELED Naval Ship Boarding Gun
Description: Early-1800s OTTOMAN Antique WIRE INLAID Flintlock Dag BLUNDERBUSS ORNATE SHORT BARRELED Naval Ship Boarding Gun Here we present an antique Ornate Inlaid Flintlock Blunderbuss Dag Pistol, made circa the late 1700s to the early 1800s. The blunderbuss is a firearm with a short, large caliber barrel flared at the muzzle and frequently throughout the entire bore and used with shot and other projectiles. The blunderbuss is commonly considered to be an early predecessor of the modern day shotgun, with similar military and defensive use. It was effective only at short range, lacking accuracy at long range. The flintlock blunderbuss was the original coach gun, being a short, handy and devastating weapon at close range. It was used in many capacities, not the least of which were for naval boarding or defending vessels by pirates and navies alike! The overall condition is good. Dark patina throughout. The action is strong. The bore is dark and smooth. The stock is solid with virtually complete wire inlay with a few stray ends. A beautiful piece from the Ottomon Turkish sphere of influence! Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction. Barrel is 6-3/4 inches. Caliber: Approximately .50 flaring to 2.75 inches. Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE. Delivered directly to your door by express mail! Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $2000 #254035 SOLD Antique: Yes |
