Lazarino Cominazzo
Description: Lazarino Cominazzo, Brescia. A rare Miquelet lock “Postillion’s” Blunderbuss, ca. 1650. Weight: 7 ¼ Lbs. Overall length: 32”. Fine 15 ½” multi-stage barrel, signed by the maker and fluted at the breech, with bell-mouthed muzzle. Original ramrod which is missing the iron worm on the hidden end. Functioning original miquelet lock. Polished iron mounts free of any corrosion. Original sparsely relief carved stock with lots of handling marks but no real abuse. The well respected large Cominazzo family of gunmakers was active in the Brescia and Gardone Val Trompia regions of Italy from the mid-16th through the early 18th century. Lazarino Cominazzo was generally acknowledged as one of the greatest gun maker’s of the ages and his firearms are highly sought after today. Price: $6,500.00 Contact Seller |
