"Chinese Flintlock Blunderbuss (AL4288)

"Chinese Flintlock Blunderbuss. This is a rare example of a Chinese Flintlock. This is a military style flintlock using a British Brown Bess lock with Tower and Crown mark. Barrel has a flared muzzle with exterior flutes on the bell. Breech end shows Chinese fret work design. Barrel length 28½" overall length 43½". Action works perfectly. We had sold several Blunderbuss over the years and the barrels seem to have been “saved" by previous owners remounting them on later stocks using British or European locks. Interestingly, middle eastern barrels were prized by their owner and used on later stocks and locks, as our example here.
