"U.S. Winchester 1st Model Hotchkiss Bolt-Action rifle .45-70 (AW358)

Serial No. 2926, made in 1879, .45-70, 32"" round barrel with Naval acceptance proofs visible. Metal is a smooth brown/grey patina, bore is bright with strong rifling. Stock shows expected wear, the initials ""R.T"" are carved onto the right side of the butt-stock. Left side has ""257 042"" stamped just below receiver address. Action functions correctly.
