A Very Early U.S. Military Issued Model 1868 Springfield Rifle

Description:
A Very Early U.S. Military Issued Model 1868 Springfield Rifle In Fine Untouched Condition. Made by The "Springfield Armory" from 1868-1872. serial #32,174, all matching numbers. made in .50 Caliber. The rifle has fine metal and markings throughout with fine edges. Dated "1870/Eagle/US" on top of the breech block. The lock is marked "U.S. Springfield" & Dated "1863". All of the metal on the rifle has a light untouched patina on it. All of the wood on it is fine throughout with very nice edges. There is a fine "U.S." Inspectors cartouche on the backside of the wood. The rifle has an excellent bore & action in it. This Is A Very Fine And Untouched Example Of A Very Early U.S. Military Issued Model 1868 Springfield Rifle!
