About Us: Here presented are two Antique Afghan Khyber Pass Martini-Henry Single Shot, a breech loading single shot lever action rifle, a military style made circa the early 1890's. These two rifle's are hand engraved with Arabic lettering & sketching includes camel bone inlaying design on their wooden stock. I as a US Army G.I during my personal deployment during 9-11 acquired these personally and brought it back legally. These Martini-Henry were adapted by British Army replacing the Enfield Snider Breech Loading Rifles that were being phased out. The Martini-Henry were used throughout the British Empire for some 48 years. Both rifles need some good cleaning due to surface rust. A one of a kind antique collection that is very hard to find in the US.
Afghan KHYBER PASS Martini-Henry Single Shot Antique
Description: A pair of Afghan Khyber Pass Martini-Henry Single Shot Military Rifle made circa from the early 1890's.These were sold/traded by the British Army to the Afghan tribesmen when the tribesmen were passing through the pass during the trading season. I personally purchased these on my 2nd deployment tour near Baghram, Afghanistan in 2006 and shipped legally to the United States. The Martini-Henry were used for over 45 years throughout the British Empire. The overall condition is good some rust that can be expected being from the 1890's. It is a antique not found with unique engraving and camel bone inlays. The price noted is for single rifle. Can be purchased as a set of two with some price discount. I also have a pair of camel bone inlay flint pistols from the same era matching the rifles. SOLD Antique: Yes Rifle Caliber: .577/450 Martini-Henry Condition: Good Metal Condition: Fair Wood Condition: Good Barrel Type: Polygonal Rifling Stock: Wood Sights: Iron Engraving: Hand Engraving Item Location: Minnesota |
