Metal has approximately 85% arsenal refinish blue. Left-side of the barrel has several area of light to moderate pitting from the muzzle to the rear sight. The nose cap is missing. Stock is very good, Has an approximately 3” crack from the forward lock screw to the rear sight area. Lock is dated “1855” (855). Action works correctly. Trapdooe is marked “Bollman”. There are two unit markings on the butt plate. This is an interesting early cartridge conversion Jäger rifle.
