Danzig 1890 Gew 88 WWI Split Receiver German Rifle 8mm

For sale is a Danzig 1890 GEW 88, military surplus firearm with split receiver.  I'm not a professional with regards to old military rifles. Doing the best I can to give an accurate description along with photos.

This rifle has matching serial numbers on the receiver in barrel shroud (6574).  There is a Turkish symbol on top of the receiver along with an S on top of the barrel shroud which I believe indicates the rifle was modified in 1905 for the Spitzer 8 mm. Beautiful vintage German rifle from the World War I era. Rifle has obviously seen battle. Possibly some different regiment or company numbers on the barrel band? It has been used over the years. e grease to preserve function in Metal from corrosive ammo. Firearm has a great metal patina with a wooden stock in metal butt plate. There are Some light too heavy scratches in the wood, however, no cracks visible. Feel free to reach out with any additional questions.
