Evans Repeating Arms
Description: This Evans Repeating Arms lever action rifle remains in good to very good overall condition. These rifles were chambered in a cartridge called the .44 Evans cartridge. The rifle is loaded by placing cartridges in a magazine tube that runs through the butt stock. Total capacity on these rifles is 34 rounds. It is estimated approximately 15,000 of these style rifles were manufactured prior to the company going bankrupt in 1879. This particular example shows it's age but overall is in very good condition. The metal shows rust and a patina throughout. The wood stock has numerous dings, gouges and handling marks but is quite handsome for a gun of this era. The rifling in the bore can easily be viewed but there is a noticeable layer of fouling over the rifling. The barrel is stamped as follows: EVANS REPEATING RIFLE MECHANIC FALLS ME PAT DEC. 8, 1868 & SEPT. 16, 1872 None Price: $2,299.99 Antique: Yes Metal Condition: Good Wood Condition: Very Good Bore Condition: Very Good Barrels: 22 Triggers: Factory Stock Dimensions: 13" LOP Fore End: Uncheckered Walnut Stock - Uncheckered Walnut Forend Butt Pad: Metal Butt Plate Weight: 8 lbs Sights: Post & Bead Front - Flip Up V Notch Rear Item Location: Wheeling Contact Seller |
