This is a scarce and very nice all original Ballard rifle chambered in 38 rimfire but could also be used with a percussion cap that ignited nitrated paper cartriges if metallic cartridges were not available. This rifle is nearly identical to a military carbine except military carbines were in 44RF. The majority of original blue on the barel is still present, action works, bore is shiny with strong rifling, nop rust or pitting. Wood is nice and solid, with one repaired crak near extractor lever underneath fore arm. Insured shipping in the cont US is $ 50.00. Visa/MC add 3%.
