Description: Sharps Carbine Civil War manufactured. The Sharps carbine version was very popular with the cavalry of both the Union and Confederate armies. By 1863, it was the most common weapon carried by Union cavalry regiments. SN-65071. Gun is fully functional. All original. Fine condition. NEW MODEL 1863 on barrel. Bore in fine condition. Lock mechanics excellent. SHARPS PAT OCT 5th 1852 on lock. W S LAWRENCE PAT APRIL 12th 1859 also on lock. Metal parts with age patina. Oil finished walnut stocks with stage coach or wagon seat rubbing wear pattern on the left rear stock. Correct folding rear sight. Ships from USPO as Antique direct to buyers address.
