Swedish M. 1867/89 Rolling Block Sporterized by Vapen-Depoten Falun
Description:
Serial #5021, 8 x 58R Danish Krag, 33" barrel with a fine bore that has light freckling within the grooves. This is a sporterized 1872 dated rifle with shortened forend and added sporting sights that retains 90-95% of the original blue on the barrel with fading on the muzzle and along the edges of the breech facets. The frame retains about 80% of the muted but still visible color case-hardening with scattered small spots of freckling and the breechblock and hammer are armory bright with mild freckling throughout. The matching numbered forend and buttstock have been sanded and have a blonde varnish finish with scattered light handling marks and blemishes. As well on the RT side is the Vapen-Depoten-Falun embossed metal plaque. Also included with the rifle are a set of RCBS 8x58R reloading dies. This is a nicely sporterized military Rolling Block in very good condition and would make a nice shooter. Antique
