Swiss Vetterli M78 10.4x38R centerfire conversion + Sporter Stock/magazine

A Swiss Vetterli rifle that at some point in its life was converted to centerfire. Along with the original rifle is a set of Appalachian made sporter furniture including a stock with a smaller crescent in the butt, and even more interesting is the foregrip/magazine. While I don’t have any rounds to get the exact capacity of the magazine I’d wager it’s around 3 or 4 rounds giving it a total potential capacity of 5 rounds (mag plus chamber). Many of these guns were imported to the US by Francis Bannerman and found a solid niche as bear guns in the Appalachian mountains. The smaller magazine and foregrip cut down on some weight off of this hefty old world black powder repeater. The condition of the rifle is very good with the vast majority of its finish present. The action is also very good considering its age. Essentially you get the best of both worlds a complete military collectible that also has the ability to be transformed into a significantly more usable hunting/target rifle.
