"Belgian Napoleonic Wars Flintlock Short Musket (AL5327)
Description:
"This Belgian flintlock short musket was made in the early 1800s. The overall length is approx. 48.5"". The round 61 caliber barrel has a good brown bore. All the metal is bright with the expected age staining. The top of the barrel has the oval Belgian ELG proof. There is a small star over V behind it and a 1 on the left flat (the 1 is repeated on a few other parts). The lock has a small crest stamped at the tail. The stock is very good with no chips or cracks and very little wear. The sling swivels and a replacement ramrod are present. The action functions correctly, This is a very nice example of the Belgian flintlock short musket that was most likely used by several countries. It would be a great fit in a European military flintlock collection.
