"British 3rd Model “Brown Bess" .75 (AL4838)

"British 3rd Model “Brown Bess" .75 caliber musket. British 3rd model Brown Bess, aka Pattern 1793, musket. Barrel length is 39". Metal has a dark brown patina. Lock markings are present and clear. Stock has a very unique carving in the butt “25 B CLARE. M" This musket went to the Clare militia in Nova Scotia. They were the only militia to be allowed to mark their muskets. The Clare militia was one of the scarcer units in Nova Scotia. Very desirable Brown Bess.
