NSN, circa 1777-1782, .79 caliber, 42' round smoothbore proofed barrel. Barrel and other iron parts are a dark grey patina with smooth surface oxidation present. Lock plate is marked ""CROWN/GR"" forward of the hammer and ""TOWER"" rear of the hammer. Inside the lock plate is stamped with ""Crown/7"" Inspector marks ""HL"" is also visible. Barrel tang bears markings that are unable to read. Ram-rod channel has inspector mark and ""XXXIII"" stamped inside. Action holds at half and full cock. A great example of a Revolutionary War Musket!
