"U.S. Caswell and Dodge Model 1798 Contract Flintlock Musket .69 Caliber (AL4485)

Description:
"NSN, circa 1806-1807,.69 caliber, .44.5"" round barrel. Overall good condition, Barrel is light grey patina with scattered mottled oxidation visible. The letter ""M"" is marked on top of the barrel. Stock shows expected nicks dings and scratches. Moller lists them as contract suppliers to the state of New York. He also remarks of sales to the Massachusetts Militia. Action functions correctly, a rare early contract martial musket.
