"L. Pomeroy 1840 Contract Flintlock Musket .69 caliber (AL8155)

"

NSN, circa 1840-1843, .69 caliber, 42"" round proofed barrel. Metal has faded into a dark patina with traces of bright noted on the breech and lock plate. Barrel is dated 1843 and lock plated is dated 1840. Stock is good with scattered dents and handling marks, bore shows light pitting. Action holds at half and full cock. 7000 examples were manufactured.
