"Rare Spanish Flintlock Model 1843 musketoon. In fine condition. The overall length is approximately 37½". The 22½" round barrel is .70 caliber with a good smooth bore. All the metal has been cleaned. It is bright and smooth with the exception of the cock which has light pitting. The stock is very good with added finish and no cracks or chips. The brass furniture is fine. The barrel at the breech is stamped 1850/101. The lock has 1850-101 at the tail, a crown at the center, and touchmarks on either side of the crown. The right side of the butt stock is stamped 1850/101. The left side is stamped “EIZT". Most small parts have inspection stamps. The buttplate is stamped “William. H. Bulmer/1861". The action functions correctly further research on William H. Bulmer may prove to be interesting. If you collect Spanish long arms or musketoons. This very nice model 1843 flintlock musketoon is for you.
