NSN, circa 1777-1785 by John Clark of London, .75 caliber, 42"" round British proofed,London marked barrel. Barrel and other iron parts are a light to dark smooth grey patina. Lock plate is stamped with ""CLARK"" Brass pieces are a nice untouched dull patina. Butt-Plate is marked with ""NY/110"", side plate and stock are marked with ""71"". These muskets were more that likely issued to the New York Provincial Troops, these were New Yorkers who were loyalist to the crown. After 1778 the New Work Provincial troops were issued the newly delivered Short Land Pattern. Princeton Battlefield State Park Clarke House had an identical example numbered 24.
