"Virginia Manufactory 2nd Model Musket (AL4707)

Description:
"Virginia Manufactory 2nd Model Musket. Also known as the Transitional or Interim Style. Produced between 1816-1817 with approximately 8000 being made. Lock plate is dated 1816 and looks to have been cleaned at some time. Barrel has a gray patina. Stock is in good condition, does show some handling wear. Good early state shoulder arm!
