British 3rd Model Brown Bess by W.J. King. In fine condition. Overall length is approximately 55". The 39" Round .75 caliber barrel has a fine smooth bore. The barrel has approximately 95% of original brown finish. It has two Birmingham proof marks. The lock is smooth with much of its original finish. It is marked W.J. King at the center and warranted to the rear. The brass furniture is fine. The swivels and ramrod are present. The stock is very fine with sharp edges and no cracks or chips. The action functions correctly. William James King operated at 8 Whittall street, Birmingham, from 1824 to 1837. This is a super 3rd Model Brown Bess. You would never need to upgrade it!
