HUNTING/SPORTING Longarm
Description: LATE 1700s to EARLY 1800s Antique European FLINTLOCK .57 Smoothbore MUSKET HUNTING/SPORTING Longarm Here we present an antique European Flintlock Smoothbore Musket, made circa the late-18th/early-19th Century. This musket features a smoothbore .57 caliber barrel with brass furniture. It has a full-length stock and simple, standard components. This is the type of indigenous musket that would have been sent over to the American colonies in the years surrounding the American Revolutionary War. Guns such as this would have been a staple in the homes of most everyone living in the countryside, to both provide food for the table or to protect against both man and beast. The overall condition is good. Clean gray patina. The re-varnished stock is solid with cracks and repairs around the lock and lockplate. The rear barrel pin is absent. Stable crack in the buttstock on the right side. The hammer won’t stay cocked. The flintlock has been re-converted. No rear sight. Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction. Barrel is 37-1/8 inches. Caliber: .57 Flintlock Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE.
