Manufactured by Springfield armory, a.k.a. Model 1835. 30,421 units produces of which 26,841 were converted to percussion. .69 caliber muzzleloader with 42” round barrel. Lockplate stamped SPRING/FIELD/1838. Left side of stock stamped “C.L.A. 28”
